Man arrested in Burns on out-of-county warrant following suspicious activity report

BURNS-A report of suspicious behavior near a local business led to the arrest of an wanted individual early Saturday evening in Burns.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on September 19, dispatchers received a call regarding an individual hanging around the office area near Ponderosa Village and Oregon Data Systems throughout the day. The reporting party informed authorities that video footage captured the suspect, described as wearing a tie-dye shirt, rummaging through and scattering trash across the property. The individual was also reported leaving the scene in a green car with a white hood.
Responding officers located a suspect matching the description in the area shortly after 6:00 p.m. Upon locating the individual, officers requested a second unit for routine backup.
The individual was identified as Julian Reese. During the investigation, law enforcement discovered an active out-of-county arrest warrant for Reese originating from Payette County.
After dispatchers confirmed with Payette County officials that they would extradite, Reese was taken into custody without incident around 6:27 p.m.
Reese was transported and booked into the local corrections facility, where he remains pending extradition proceedings. The initial call, originally logged as a suspicious person report, was updated to an active arrest upon confirmation of the warrant.
