Man arrested for felony indecent exposure

WALLA WALLA – Joaquin Avalos, 36, of Walla Walla is charged with felony indecent exposure after he allegedly exposed his genitals to an under-age girl in the area of Olive Street. Walla Walla police were notified of the incident Wednesday.

Police report a man in a vehicle pulled up and started a conversation with the girl telling her how pretty she is. As the female got closer to the man she saw that his genitals were exposed and immediately left the area.

“Due to the description given by the victim, previous contacts, and arrests with this subject for similar acts, police were able to determine quickly who the subject was,” Sgt. Gunner Fulmer wrote in a news release.”

He was taken into custody Thursday. The crime he is charged with reaches the felony level due to previous similar convictions, Fulmer said.
