Man arrested for driving scooter intoxicated with a BAC of .26%

BAKER CITY – The Baker City Police Department was contacted to investigate a report of an intoxicated driving last week.  According to reports, the intoxicated drive was riding what was described as a sit down/stand up scooter with a 49cc engine on Campbell Street.

When officers caught up with the suspect, he had reportedly run a red light at the intersection of Campbell and Clark Street and was stopped while riding erratically in the bike lane of the 1600 block of Campbell Street. The suspect was arrested for DUII and had a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) of .26%, more than three times the legal limit.
