Man arrested following shots fired incident in Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON – A possible shooting incident out of Mt. Vernon is still under investigation, following the arrest of one man last week.
On Wednesday, April 24th, at approximately 7:32 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a location on N. Mountain Blvd. in Mt. Vernon for the report of shots fired. Sheriff Todd McKinley reports that John F. Kucala, 60, of Mt. Vernon was arrested on a weapons charge.
The Sheriff said there were no injuries reported, and the case is still under investigation. We’ll provide further updates as they are released.
