HARNEY COUNTY-A local man was taken into custody on August 24, 2026, following an investigation into a criminal mischief incident that occurred over the weekend at a business in Hines.
Police responded to an initial dispatch call on Saturday afternoon, August 22, 2026, around 2:07 p.m. According to reporting party Rosie Thompson, an angry customer identified as Brad Keller flew into a rage when staff denied him service due to an invalid license. Keller allegedly yelled at an employee, punched a computer monitor, and fled the scene heading westbound on Highway 20 in a gold vehicle. No weapons were involved, and no physical injuries were reported during the outburst.
Officers immediately launched an investigation, searching multiple locations across Hines and nearby areas over the weekend to locate the suspect, including addresses on Foley Road and South Buena Vista Avenue. Initial attempts to make contact on Saturday were unsuccessful.
Following continued investigative leads through Monday, August 24, law enforcement officers located Keller at a residence on South Buena Vista Avenue shortly before 12:45 p.m. Multiple units responded to the location, and officers safely took him into custody without further incident.
Keller was transported to the local corrections facility, where he was lodged on charges of criminal mischief and harassment.
