JOHN DAY, PRAIRIE CITY, & HINES – (Press Release from the Malheur National Forest)
With the precipitation received across the Malheur National Forest last week, the forest is reducing Public Use Restrictions (PURs) to Stage A, effective Friday, September 11, 2026, at 12:01 am.
The Industrial Fire Precaution Level (IFPL) will remain at IFPL II and fire danger is MODERATE .
Under Stage A of Public Use Restrictions, the following acts are prohibited on all National Forest System Lands within the Malheur National Forest.
