Malheur N.F. offices closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

JOHN DAY, PRAIRIE CITY, HINES, OR – (Release from the Malheur National Forest)

In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, all Malheur National Forest offices will be closed Monday, January 18, 2021.

Offices will reopen for virtual services Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Virtual services include phone sales of wood permits, post/pole permits, maps etc. by appointment. Please plan accordingly for your forest product needs.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

The Malheur National Forest would like to wish all a happy and safe Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
