MALHEUR COUNTY — It’s fire season and getting the correct emergency information out to the public is crucial. Malheur County Emergency Management is informing residents that the agency has switched to the Everbridge Emergency Notification System for getting out alerts and information. The county formerly used the AlertSense system and said anyone who was signed up for that would have their information automatically transferred into the new system.
Folks who sign up for emergency alerts from the county will have the option to receive notifications for up to five different locations within Malheur County. Malheur County Emergency Management recently stated in a social media post, “Maybe you want notifications for home, and your work location, and your children’s schools. Or your spouse’s work location or your parent’s home. Add all five locations and receive notifications for all of them.”
