Eastern Oregon – With Independence Day less than 1 week away, people are making plans for holiday festivities. This year promises more opportunities for fireworks displays than 2021, as recent rainfall has blunted the effects of widespread drought.
In Northeastern Oregon, major 4th of July fireworks displays include:
Shake the Lake, organized by the Joseph Chamber of Commerce will held on Wallowa Lake after sunset on the 4th.
Thunder at the Peak, a fireworks display shot from Buffalo Peak Golf Course in Union will likewise start just after sunset on the 4th.
The Haines Stampede holds its fireworks show at dusk at the Haines Stampede Ground in Haines on the 4th.
As with every 4th of July, be sure celebrate safely and legally to protect against injury and damage to property.
