Magone Lake bike trails have reopened following logging operations

JOHN DAY – The bike trails at Magone Lake are open once again, according to the Forest Service. Read the full MNF informational release below:

The Malheur National Forest has lifted the closure affecting the Magone Lake bike trails. Closure Order 06-04-01-26-01 was originally implemented to protect public safety during pre-commercial thinning operations.
Beginning July 1, recreationalist can begin utilizing the trails that were included in the rescinded closure:
- #5089, Porcupine Springs
- #5090, Pumphouse
- #5091, Phlo
