WALLA WALLA – More details have been released involving a woman who was arrested Dec. 4, 2021, for allegedly chasing people in Walla Walla’s Wildwood Park with a machete.
Shelby Danielle Brown, 37, ended up being tasered after officers were dispatched to the park and found Brown yelling at park goers that she was going to kill them. Brown was charged with two counts of first-degree assault armed with a deadly weapon, two counts of harassment and one count of unlawful carrying or handling of a weapon.
Turns out, a year earlier (Dec. 14, 2020), Brown was arrested at the Sleep Center carrying a machete, demanding entry, and threatening to kill two staff members and their families. Brown was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail on two counts of harassment – threats to kill and one count of carrying a weapon capable of producing bodily harm.
A review hearing will be held Tuesday in Walla Walla County Superior Court on the Sleep Center incident and a jury trial is set to begin Wednesday on the Wildwood Park incident.
