Lostine’s iconic tricycle doll is missing, WCSO reports

LOSTINE – The City of Lostine suffered a major loss recently as one of its most iconic features, the roadside tricycle toddler doll, is missing. For anyone local to Wallowa County, or that frequently travels highway 82, the simple doll has been used as a clever reminder to drivers to slow down and watch for children in and near Lostine for years now.
On Wednesday, however, The Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) posted a flyer claiming that both the doll and tricycle had gone missing from their ever-vigilant post along the road. WCSO is asking the public for information that will hopefully lead to their safe return.
