Long Creek students learn about voting process ahead of Election Day

LONG CREEK – Election Day is November 3rd, and even though they might be too young to vote, students in Margee Powell’s class at Long Creek School District will know what’s happening. Mrs. Powell explained on KJDY’s Coffee Time that they have been going over the election process in class:
“You know, one of the things we like to do is teach students to think critically—not just take at face value what they hear, and to do their own research. So, what I decided to do was give them a copy of the ballot and the voter’s pamphlet.”
