LONG CREEK – Long Creek School has recently added a book vending machine to their hallway. The books are a gift designed to encourage students to build their home libraries. According to a release from the school, the machine offers a diverse selection of books, catering to various interests and reading levels. Students have the ability to select and receive a book with a token and at the push of a button, they are given the opportunity to explore new genres and authors. Students receive tokens for things like completing tasks in the classroom, maintaining attendance, and strong test performance. Each book was carefully chosen by Librarian Lauren Burnette.
Long Creek School stated, โEach book was carefully chosen by our Librarian Lauren Burnette, to ensure quality and relevance so students can enjoy the thrill of discovering new stories and ideas. We hope our students here will have a lifelong passion for books!โ
