LONG CREEK – Positive moves have been in play for Long Creek School District, according to their new Superintendent Larry Glaze. He was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently, and mentioned that he’s implemented a suicide prevention program:
“I implemented a suicide prevention plan. It’s a state requirement, but we didn’t have the plan in place. We had Community Counseling [Solutions] come out on a Friday and train our staff on suicide prevention with students. They did a great job.”
Mr. Glaze is on Coffee Time every fourth Friday of the month.
Also, September is National Suicide Prevention Month. If you or anyone you know is feeling suicidal, the 9-8-8 talk line is free and ready to help.
