Lone Pine RFPA in Harney County receives Type 6 fire engine from BLM

HARNEY COUNTY – The Bureau of Land Management reports that a Type 6 BLM fire engine has been transferred to the Lone Pine Fire Protection Association in Harney County. The agency says, “This engine will help the Lone Pine RFPA protect nearby communities, ranches, and public lands.”
BLM reports, “RFPAs are local, nonprofit groups that help prevent and suppress fires on unprotected lands. They are often among the first on scene when a wildfire starts.”
