BAKER CITY – The 94th National FFA Convention and Expo was held in Indianapolis this past week with students from across the nation attending.
Some local students who attended left with notable rankings on their competitions.
Kylie Siddoway of Baker High School took 13th in Job Interview giving her a silver medal. Lance Kerns received a gold medal in Agriscience Research Finalist and gold medal. His official placing won’t be known until next week, but he was in the top 10 according to Agriculture Science teachers! Bibiana Gifft. And Megan Dinger received her American FFA Degree. Other Agriscience Research Competitors receiving Bronze included Skye Smith, Dillon Multop, Weston Bryant, Neah Thomas and Jose Armenta
For La Grande High School Isaac Insko placed in the top 5 in his proficiency area with a Gold in his Forage Production proficiency. According to FFA Adviser Katie Titus, Insko will continue his FFA career in the next two years when he applies for his American Degree and applies for a National Star in Agribusiness.
