Local landowners to discuss grazing, water access, and stewardship at 2nd annual Northeast Oregon Rangeland Summit

LA GRANDE – (Release from Wallowa Resources) Deep Roots and Fresh Faces: Sustaining Traditions While Growing the Next Generation,a summit for landowners, producers, and practitioners from across Oregon’s northeast region. The second annual Northeast Oregon Rangelands Summit will take place on March 18, 2026 at the La Grande Armory Conference Center, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.  

Organized by Wallowa Resources, Oregon State University, and the Western Landowners Alliance, attendees will participate in discussions regarding key issues facing rangelands, including:

  • Grazing with Intent 
  • Deliberate Water Use, Resilient Pastures, and Drought Readiness
  • Growing the Next Generation of Rangeland Stewards

Regional experts and leaders including landowners, producers, and practitioners will present and lead discussions throughout the Summit. The featured keynote speaker will be Chad Boyd, Rangeland Ecologist at Oregon State University.
