Local high school softball stars shine on 4A All-State teams

EASTERN OREGON — Pendleton is capping off a championship winning season by seeing multiple Buckaroos earn spots on this season’s 4A All-State team. Maddy Schumacher was named co-Player of the Year while longtime head coach Tim Cary was named Coach of the Year. Six La Grande players and one player each from Baker and Ontario players also earned spots on the all-state team, which was voted on by statewide coaches.
