Local city cleanup days are right around the corner (current schedules included)

EASTERN OREGON – Spring is here, and that means it’s time for spring cleaning. City governments and community organizations across Eastern Oregon are organizing community spring cleanup days throughout April and May. Currently available cleanup day schedules by city, along with other details, are listed below. Note that this is an actively updated list and not all cities/organizations have confirmed their schedules as of the time of writing. New schedules and information will be added as available. Currently, confirmed cleanup day schedules are as follows:

Union County

La Grande:

  • April 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Meet at 102 Depot Street.
  • Call Sarah Marcotte at 541-805-2820 to volunteer.
  • Volunteers can also email director@lagrandemainstreet.org
  • Bring gloves and a trash bag if possible.
  • Business owners may purchase native plants for exterior planters to be installed during cleanup day.

North Powder:

  • April 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Dumpsters are located at the brush pile below 2nd Street.
  • Items not accepted:
    • Oil.
    • Ashes.
    • Regular Household Garbage.
    • Broken Screens.

Baker County

Baker City:
