LA GRANDE – The La Grande Rural Fire Protection District (LGRFPD) and personnel from City of La Grande Fire Department and Union County Search & Rescue took part in nighttime water rescue training this week led by staff from Wallowa County Search and Rescue’s swiftwater rescue team.

According to LGRFPD, “the close partnerships and cooperation between local emergency response agencies is invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone in these organizations, most of whom are volunteer, who dedicate their time and energy to saving lives.”
