Lime Fire, 2 miles west of Huntington, Oregon

Update as of 12:20pm, Aug 15: BLM reports the Lime Fire is now fully contained at 144 acres. The cause of the fire has been determined. You can read about that at HERE


Update as of 9:35am, Aug 15: According to BLM, the Lime Fire is 85 acres and 66% contained. Four engines and a dozer worked through the night. Hand crews are on site this morning.


Update as of 6:00am, Aug 15: According to reports, the Lime Fire is now 85 acres in size.


Update as of 4:50 P.M. According to Vale BLM, the fire is now at 80 acres, with 2 helicopters, 8 SEATs, and 4 scoopers on scene. No change to other resources reported and no structures threatened.


Update as of 2:10pm: According to Vale BLM the Lime Fire is now 35 acres in size. Currently on scene is 1 heli, 4 SEATs, air attack, 1 dozer, 4 engines, BLM investigator, Burnt River RFPA and Huntington RFD


UPDATE AS OF 1:45pm: According to WildCAD, the fire, which is now referred to as the Lime Fire is 20 acres in size.


ODOT is reporting a fire along I-84 eastbound at milepost 344, 2 miles west of Huntington.

Crews are on scene.
