PENDLETON – The Pendleton Public Library Board of Directors gave its annual report to the city council this week, and City Manager Robb Corbett liked what he heard. He said the library is thinking outside the box in order to respond to the changing needs of the public.
“People can check out hot spots for internet,” he said. “They can check out laptops. They can check out products to go camping.”
Corbett has a library card and uses it frequently. He’s really impressed with a library app for audio books.
“All I have to have is a library card, and if there’s a need to help get it set up, the staff is more than happy to help me,” he said. “My son and I like to listen to books when we’re traveling together. As the mayor said, we really appreciate the volunteers who spend so much of their time on the library commission.”
