LGFD Congratulates Firefighter Ben Blackwell on Completing Post Training Probation

LA GRANDE – (Information from the City of La Grande Fire Department) A La Grande firefighter recently hit an important milestone. Ben Blackwell, one of three new firefighters hired by the City of La Grande fire department last year, has officially completed his post academy probationary period with the LGFD. This is a time where a new firefighter’s performance and prowess are evaluated under supervision after completing their initial training. Featured above are Blackwell and his wife, Taylor, during the pinning ceremony. The LGFD wish Blackwell a long and successful career with the department.
