LGFD Celebrates firefighter Dawson’s first year of service

LA GRANDE – This past weekend, The City of La Grande Fire Department (LGFD) honored one of its firefighters for hitting an important milestone. On Saturday, May 2nd, the department hosted a pinning ceremony for Firefighter Dawson, marking the completion of his first year of service with the department and the end to his probationary period. As written by the LGFD in a recent post:

“The pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition in the fire service. It symbolizes the transition from “probationary” status to a fully integrated member of the firefighting family. Over the last 12 months, FF Dawson has shown unwavering dedication, rigorous discipline, and a true commitment to protecting the citizens of La Grande.”

The LGFD asks the community to join them in congratulating Firefighter Dawson on his achievement! As further written by the LGFD, “We look forward to many more years of him serving this community with honor and excellence.”
