SALEM – The Oregon Legislature began Legislative Days yesterday (Tuesday) in Salem. Legislative Days are mainly comprised of committee, subcommittee, task force, and joint committee meetings.
Almost all of those meetings are for invited testimony only or are work sessions on particular issues. The Emergency Board meets Friday at 8:30 a.m. and has an agenda of more than 100 issues up for discussion.
Referred to as the E-Board, that panel allocates emergency funds, increases expenditure limits, authorize transfers, receives reports, and approves submissions of federal grant applications. Both Sen. Bill Hansell (R-Athena) and Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner) serve on the Emergency board.
All of the meetings are streamed. The schedule for them as well as the broadcasts themselves can be found at the Oregon Legislature’s website at https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/.
