PENDLETON โ (News release from the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon) Chart-topping country stars Tracy Lawrence and Rodney Atkins will headline the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Kick-Off Concert at the Happy Canyon Arena on Saturday, Sept. 6. Tickets go on sale March 14 (Friday).
Lawrence, whose 13 million albums sold and eighteen (18) No. 1 singles have racked up numerous American Country Music (ACM) and Country Music Association (CMA) awards in his more than 30 years in the business, retains his distinctive traditional flare while firmly planting a contemporary foot on Generation Now. His 30th anniversary album, Hindsight 20/20, launches the โTexas Tornadoโ into his excitingly fresh next chapter. He recently launched his new EP, โOut Here In It,โ a six-song definition of who he is today.
Lawrence recently wrapped a concert run with Riley Green on his โAinโt My Last Rodeo Tourโ in addition to selling out his first-ever headlining Ryman Auditorium show in Nashville in May 2024 and a sold-out โTracy Lawrence and Friendsโ headlining show during CMA Fest. He will soon join Luke Bryanโs โMind of a Country Boy Tourโ at Wrigley Field in August and will spotlight main stages across the country. Lawrence has also kept busy hosting the radio show โHonky Tonkinโ with Tracy Lawrence,โ which currently airs in more than 170 markets, as well as the podcast โTLโs Road House.โ
Lawrence also continues to uphold his commitment to helping those in need across middle Tennessee and beyond with his Mission: Possible nonprofit committed to serving the homeless. From its humble beginnings cooking Thanksgiving dinners for the Nashville Rescue Mission to frying more than 10,000 turkeys to date, the organization has raised more than $1 million for those in need. In recognition of his philanthropic efforts, Lawrence was honored with the 2023 Catholic Relief Servicesโ Humanitarian Award.
Rodney Atkins has charted at least one radio single at Country Radio in three different decades all while being on the same record label (Curb Records). He is an artist with multi-generational impact whose voice has been a mainstay at Country Radio, challenging all of us to be better no matter our age โ parents who are now grandparents, and adults who first heard Atkins while eating a happy meal in their booster seat.
Atkins, an ACM Award-winning artist, has more than four billion global streams, six (6) No. 1 radio singles, and 16.5 million RIAA-certified units over nine singles and three albums. His hit song, โWatching You,โ was named the No. 1 Song of the Decade by Country Aircheck and earned the songwriter a BMI โMillion-Airโ Award. Atkinsโ newest song, โTrue South,โ was released in November 2024.
โWeโre beyond excited to have Tracy Lawrence and Rodney Atkins take the stage at the Happy Canyon Arena this September,โ said Happy Canyon President Kipp Curtis. โAfter last yearโs amazing show with Clay Walker and Eddie Montgomery, itโs clear that our fans are craving that 90โs country energy. Tracy Lawrence and Rodney Atkins are guaranteed to deliver a mix of nostalgic hits and fresh new music that will have everyone rocking out all night long.โ
Round-Up President Tiah DeGrofft agreed. โThis concert is the ultimate way to kick off Round-Up and Happy Canyon week,โ said DeGrofft. โWeโre pumped for everyone to experience the show and let loose for a night of unforgettable fun.โ
Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, March 14, at 10:00 a.m. To reserve tickets, visit www.pendletonroundup.com or call 541-276-2553.
