MALHEUR COUNTY — Don’t forget to buckle upLocal law enforcement officials are cinching down on their seatbelt patrols and issue the fair “Click It or Ticket” warning slogan to motorists. This serves as a good reminder for folks to buckle up for safety or at the very least, risk getting a traffic ticket.

The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office reports that local law enforcement in the area will be conducting high-visibility patrols for seatbelt usage all this month. The “Seatbelt Blitz” is funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through the Oregon Department of Transportation.
