HERMISTON – When the Oregon Health Authority announced it was lowering the school physical distancing requirement from six to three feet, most Oregon school districts were on spring break. That was not the case in Hermiston, where spring break won’t begin until next week.
“We were in a little different spot because it gave us some time as a district to do some planning that other districts across the state didn’t have,” Mooney said.
Mooney said the students will get an extra day off during spring break on Monday, April 12.
“We will come back on April 12 to an all-staff in-service day to put the final touches on our plans to have all of our students back in their buildings full time on the 13th,” Mooney said.
