EASTERN OREGON – (Release from the Oregon Secretary of State) Dear Oregon Voters,
The 2022 General Election is November 8. There are a few things we encourage every Oregonian to do before each election.
If you are new to the state, just turned 16*, recently became a citizen or just never registered before, you can do so online in about 3 minutes at Oregonvotes.gov/Register. The deadline is October 18.
*You can register at 16 but you won’t receive a ballot until an election falls after your 18th birthday.
Second, check your registration info.
Maybe you changed your name, moved or were recently released from custody. You might need to update your voter registration at Oregonvotes.gov/MyVote. The deadline to make changes is October 18. You can also use My Vote to track your ballot.
Third, read about how voting works in Oregon.
The information on Oregonvotes.gov is your best defense against false election information.
Finally, follow official trusted sources of information online. You can follow the Oregon Elections Division on Facebook or Twitter. Or find your county’s election office, where you can get connected to local information.
