This latest attack comes as a lethal permit issued for the Grouse Flats Pack in Wallowa County has expired, with no wolves removed.

The permit was issued on May 3 and expired on May 28.

Another lethal permit was permitted to a producer in the Lostine area to remove a wolf in the Lostine area earlier in May. That permit expires on June 30.
