Lake County School District #7 has lost a student

LAKE COUNTY (Released by Lake County School District #7)-Dear Lake County School District 7 Staff, Students, and Community Members,

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Thomas Strong, a cherished member of our LCSD7 community. This heartbreaking loss has deeply affected all of us, and we want to express our sincere condolences to Thomas’s family, friends, and classmates during this incredibly difficult times. Thomas was a Junior at Lakeview High School and he was a vibrant presence in out school. His kind spirit, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He touched many lives in our community, and is absence will be felt profoundly.

We understand that this news may raise questions and emotions within our school community. Please know that we are here to support you through this challenging time. Our counseling staff, along with Lake ESD staff, and Outback Strong will be available at LHS during school hours and can offer support to students and staff who may need someone to talk to. Due to an ongoing investigation, we are unable to share further details at this time, but we appreciate your understanding and respect for the family’s privacy. As we navigate this loss together, let us remember Thomas not just for his absence but for the joy and love he brought into our lives.
