Ladd Canyon construction hopes to wrap-up this fall

Making room for a 3rd lane on Ladd Canyon will continue this week.  Slowdowns in the construction areas, where motorist will find reduced speeds to 50 miles-per-hour.  Oregon Department of Transportation are installing electrical work for illumination and a weather information system. 

 The 30 million dollar Ladd project was started last year and the goal of completion is October.  This project is to improve traffic flow and safety along the two-mile-long, 6-percent grade on I-84. According to ODOT this has always been a bottleneck for truck traffic, especially during winter conditions.
