La Grande’s next community blood draw is less than a month away

LA GRANDE – It’s too early for Christmas music (depending on who you ask) but the season of giving never stops when it comes to giving blood. For anyone in Union County interested in donating critically needed blood, La Grande’s next Red Cross Community Blood Drive is less than a month away.
The latest drive is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10th from noon to 6:00 PM, and Wednesday, November 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. As always, the drive will be hosted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on the corner of 12th Street and Gekeler Lane, La Grande.
Appointments can be made online at https://www.redcrossblood.org/ by typing in La Grande’s area code, or by contacting La Grande Community Blood Draw Coordinator Linda Strand at 541-910-1973. All blood types are needed and even a single donation can make a lifesaving difference.
For anyone that just can’t wait, a separate Red Cross Blood Drive is also scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hoke College Center on the Eastern Oregon University Campus.
For anyone outside of Union County, a drive is also scheduled at Baker City’s Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2625 Hughes Lane. This drive will run Monday, November 2nd, from noon to 6:00 PM, and Tuesday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
