La Grande’s New Year’s Eve block party will close a portion of Adams Ave into 2026

LA GRANDE – The new year is just over two weeks away, and plans are in place for La Grande Main Street’s annual ball drop and New Year’s Eve block party. Like with most downtown events, there will be partial traffic disruptions while festivities are underway.

According to the La Grande Police Department, on Wednesday, December 31^st, 2025, a portion of Adams Avenue between Chestnut Street and Elm Street will be closed from 9:00 p.m. that evening to 1:30 a.m. January 1^st, 2026. As always, drivers should plan an alternate route through town and be mindful of significantly increased foot traffic downtown before, during, and after the event.
