La Grande streets closed for New Year’s Eve Ball Drop & Block Party

LA GRANDE — La Grande is getting ready to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new. The annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop & Block Party is on Sunday, December 31. To ensure a smooth and safe event, certain streets will experience temporary closures.

The affected area will include Depot Street, sealed off between Washington and Jefferson, as well as Adams Avenue, closed off between 4th and Elm. These closures will be in effect from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Remember, if you plan on drinking that evening, make sure you have a safe ride home and don’t get behind the wheel of a vehicle.
