La Grande School District Breaks Ground on New Facility at LMS

LA GRANDE – (Release from the La Grande School District) The La Grande School District is taking an exciting step forward in their bond projects when they host a Groundbreaking Event for the new Wildcat Center on Tuesday, June 6^thfrom 2:30 to 3:00 PM.

The Wildcat Center will be located on the campus of La Grande Middle School and will replace the Annex and maintenance building currently at the location.

The Wildcat Center will be a new, multi-purpose academic and athletic center with:

Three multi-use sport courts
A softball/baseball indoor facility
Space for La Grande Middle School academic programs such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and Physical Education classes

The Wildcat Center is being funded through the school district’s General Obligation bond passed by voters in May 2022. It will take approximately 15 months to complete the construction and it will be open for student use in August of 2024.
