La Grande Pool Maintenance Update (Opens September 19)

LA GRANDE – (Release from La Grande Parks & Recreation) Due to unforeseen circumstances, two of our contractors have had to pull out of their scheduled work for Veterans’ Memorial Pool’s Maintenance shut down. What does this mean? Well, it means that a few of our normally scheduled items are not going to be completed at this time, but it also means that the pool will be open starting a week earlier! We will be open starting September 19th at 5am.
What is getting done during maintenance?
- All new water in both pools
- Winterizing of the outdoor pool
- Ladder rungs will be tightened
- New treads on the therapy ladder
- Deep clean of the deck space under the bleachers
- Scrubbing of the stainless steel around both pools
- Deep clean of the locker rooms/front desk area
What is not getting done during maintenance?
- Painting of the locker rooms (we will reschedule this as soon as the paint becomes available)
- Pressure washing/acid washing of the tile and gutters
We are disappointed that these items will not be completed during this shut down, but we are so
pleased to be able to open up for you earlier than expected!! See you all on Monday!
