LA GRANDE – The La Grande Police Department is proud to announce that one of its newest officers, La Grande native and EOU Graduate Addison Bonzani, has officially graduated from the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) Basic Police Academy in Salem following a 16-week course. As written by the LGPD in a recent announcement:
“This is a significant milestone and a testament to her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to public service…Please join us in congratulating Officer Bonzani as she takes the next step in her law enforcement career. We are proud to have her serving the La Grande community.”
It should be noted that, in addition to originally being from La Grande, Officer Bonzani also originally served as the LGPDs receptionist before pursuing a dream of becoming a police officer. Originally joining as the department’s receptionist in early February 2024, she was officially sworn in as an officer with La Grande last September before attending the DPSST academy.
With this major milestone behind her, Officer Bonzani will now move onto field training.
