La Grande Parks & Rec announces fundraiser for Pioneer Park splash pad

LA GRANDE โ€“ One of the most requested youth amenities for the City of La Grande is moving forward. La Grande Parks and Rec have officially announced the start of fundraising efforts to construct a brand-new splash pad at pioneer park. When completed, the pad will replace the old, fenced-in splash pad at Veteranโ€™s Memorial Pool and be completely free and open to the public. 

During a recent city council meeting, La Grande Parks and Recreation Director Stu Spence commented that the La Grande Splash Pad Committee (comprised of local volunteers) are hoping to have the needed funds raised by around the end of may in order to apply for additional grants. La Grande Parks & Recreation is leading a community fundraiser to replace and reimagine the splash pad at Pioneer Park. This project will create a modern, interactive water play area designed for children, families, and visitors of all abilities. Contributions directly support splash pad features, safety improvements, seating, and long-term park enhancementsโ€”ensuring free, accessible fun for the entire community. This splash pad will be completely free and accessible to the public during Summer months!
