La Grande one of 69 cities to achieve Tree City USA recognition

LA GRANDE – The City of La Grande has announced that the city is one of 69 Oregon Communities to achieve 2021 Tree City USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation. According to the City, “La Grande has been a Tree City USA since 1990.
20 Tree City USA communities also achieved a Tree City USA Growth Award.
These cities accomplished tree care and community engagement activities that help build sustainable urban & community forestry programs. Hip-Hip Hooray for La Grande for receiving its 31st Growth Award, more than any other Oregon city.”
