La Grande man arrested on multiple charges following unrelated traffic stop

LA GRANDE – Alexander William Dooley (26) of La Grande was recently arrested by the La Grande Police Department following a traffic stop on Sunday, October 27 along 26th Street. According to the LGPD, Dooley was arrested on Disorderly conduct II, Criminal Mischief III and Felon in Possession of a Weapon.

The disorderly conduct and criminal mischief charges stem from a disturbance at the May Lane Apartments on Friday, October 25, in which property was damaged. As for the Felon in Possession of a Weapon charge, the LGPD stated:

“Dooley was found in possession of a restricted knife prohibited for felons. The knife has a blade that deploys by spring force or centrifugal force, which is illegal for him to possess.”
