LA GRANDE – At approximately 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, the La Grande police department responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance in front of 1108 4th street (La Grande Middle School). An initial witness report indicated that a male individual was punching a female on scene. When officers arrived, it was determined that the parties involved were Dennis Alan Mawhinney (43) and Angela Marie Aldrich (45), who are in a relationship.
The two had gotten into a verbal argument, which resulted in Aldrich biting Mawhinney on his forearm, leaving a minor injury. Aldrich did not have any injuries and, according to the LGPD, “there was no evidence to support she was actually punched during the altercation.” This incident constitutes the 9th time the LGPD have responded to a domestic disturbance between the couple in the past two weeks alone.
Aldrich was arrested by the LGPD for Assault IV Domestic and Disorderly Conduct II. Mawhinney was also arrested by the LGPD for Disorderly conduct II. Both were lodged in the Union County Jail.
