UNION COUNTY – EMS volunteers, such as those of Union County Search and Rescue, play a crucial role in keeping the local community safe. It’s only fair that these selfless individuals receive proper recognition, and maybe a nice plaque, from time to time.
On January 12, 2024, long time SAR volunteer Khris Wilson was named SAR member of the year by Sheriff Cody Bowen during the annual SAR banquet. As written by Union County Search and Rescue on social media:
“Khris and her family have been at the core of our team for many years, and in addition to responding to assist with missions, she can often be found working behind the scenes to organize trainings, staff fundraising activities, and assist with administrative tasks for our non-profit association. We are who we are thanks to dedicated team members and unsung heroes like Khris.”
Congratulations to Khris and thanks to all SAR members and EMS volunteers for their continued, dedicated service!
