Juvenile killed in Sunday morning accident near Winnemucca

HUMBOLDT COUNTY(Released by Nevada State Police)-A crash near Winnemucca claimed the life of a juvenile. Sunday morning Nevada Highway Patrol responded to reports of a crash on US 95 in Humboldt County. Investigation showed that a white Toyota Camry was headed south on HWY 395 at the same time as a Ford F-150 towing a utility trailer was headed north.

Police say the driver of the Toyota crossed over the center line and into the northbound lane. The driver of the Ford steered away in an attempt to avoid the Toyota before the front of the Toyota hit the front of the Ford.

The driver and passenger of the Toyota were taken to the hospital with the passenger sustaining serious injury. The driver of Ford, as well as two juveniles were taken to the hospital where one of the juveniles succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
