BAKER COUNTY – The Baker County Sheriff’s Office is alerting citizens to a scam being reported this week around Baker County. According to the sheriff’s office, “businesses have reported receiving calls notifying them that they failed to appear for jury duty. The caller, who identified himself as Sheriff Travis Ash, talked about warrants for missing jury duty as well as asking them to turn themselves in.
This is a SCAM. Please be vigilant when dealing with individuals on the phone. Never give out your personal or financial information.
