Judge says Grant County is in desperate need of foster homes

JOHN DAY / BURNS – Grant and Harney County Circuit Court Judge Rob Raschio was in EMG Studios recently to highlight the need for foster homes in Grant County:
“It is statistically and scientifically proven that you need to have regular visitation between parents and children to maintain the bond, and we have had not enough resource homes—foster homes, for kids in Grant County going on two or three years. We are in desperate need of those homes, so we can keep those kids here in Grant County.”
Judge Raschio suggested families who may be considering applying to be a resource home call ODHS in John Day at (541) 575-0728.
