Joint operation leads to drug seizure and arrests in Burns

BURNS-Multiple law enforcement agencies teamed up on Tuesday to seize an assortment of illicit narcotics and take suspects into custody following a lengthy narcotics investigation.

On November 3, 2026, officers from the Burns Police Department, assisted by the Hines Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence located at 90 W. Johnson Street in Burns.

During the search, authorities uncovered and seized substantial quantities of controlled substances, including suspected methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and marijuana, along with a large amount of drug paraphernalia.

While the suspects were not present at the residence during the execution of the search warrant, they were located and arrested shortly after by the Oregon State Police at a separate location.

The operation was the culmination of an extended, multi-agency investigation aimed at disrupting the local drug trade.

“The search warrant was part of a long investigation, and we would like to thank the community for their patience,” the Burns Police Department said in a statement. “We appreciate the partnership among all the law enforcement agencies who continue to hold individuals accountable for selling drugs in our county.”

The identities of the suspects and specific charges have not yet been released pending formal processing.
