Joint meeting to discuss Pendleton sign ordinance

PENDLETON – The Pendleton City Council and the Pendleton Planning Commission are holding a joint meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at Pendleton City Hall.
There is only one item on the agenda. The two groups will hear a presentation by the Historical Preservation Commission regarding proposed changes to the sign ordinance in the downtown area. The commission is seeking regulations that would require signs to be more in keeping with the historic buildings in the downtown area. The ordinance being discussed is No. 4017.
There will be a time set aside for public comment after the presentation.
