John Day’s wastewater treatment project gets more funding

JOHN DAY – The John Day City Council will meet on Tuesday, June 25th at the John Day Fire Hall. City Manager Melissa Bethel recently informed KJDY listeners that the wastewater treatment plant project is a big priority, and is moving forward:
“Obviously, it’s a big priority. We just found out we got an extra two million dollars in grant for that, and [a] two million loan, so, four million all together. We’ve also put in for another million in money, so we’re plugging along on that.”
